I really admire those who can come together regardless of race, ethnicity or tribal origin to make things happen. Several years ago, I asked my sister to join me in buying a house in our growing city. She refused. That house would now be worth 3 times what we would have bought it. Recently she visited me in my city (here in the US) and was very shocked at the growth and regretted the wasted opportunity 😢

There are suffering people in every country. If you have a good job in your home country, stay there and visit the US for vacation.

Stick to medium size cities and research rent, and job markets. You will have to pay taxes on everything. Irs can take your check too if you don't pay. 6. If you come to stay with someone give them at least $200 in rent. You are costing them extra power, water, gas and food. 7. Try coming in first of the year, becs when the summer months hit, the heat are killers. 8. If you have no one here, aim to stay at a Motel 6 or Extended Stay or cheap hotels. They are cheap may be dirty, but its a place to lay your head and they offer weekly and monthly rates WITHOUT credit checks. 3Mos-6Mos will run you $2500- $6000k. Goodluck 🎉😊

As a Ugandan living in Maryland I have made one simple observation amongst some Kenyan comrades here in MD..Alcohol has played a key role in their downfall.Many are battling DUI cases which is the worst for any American whether Immigrant or American born.. a DUI distorts your life and Iam surprised to see it is the same problem haunting fellow East African Kenyans in Boston. Dear brothers and sisters stay away from alcohol if you know you are going to operate any vehicle because a DUI in America is like a death sentence.Praying for my dear brothers and sisters going through these trying moments to carry through and flourish again.
